I'm glad your midwife was still there to take care of the things your doctor didn't.

These are the kind of stories that I love to read because they're real instead of "And then, as though an angel kissed me, she was out and healthy and then we went home and I made dinner!"

Having said that (as a woman who has not had a baby), they kind of scare the piss out of me. Most of the time we have to make some compromises. We ended up at the hospital too after my water broke and we saw the meconium. It was hard to accept but it was better to be safe.Capital Momhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10169811675874649402noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8392034857491788011.post-8209094168285263392009-10-09T11:06:53.286-05:002009-10-09T11:06:53.286-05:00What an incredibly beautiful and well-told birth s...What an incredibly beautiful and well-told birth story! I had such a "easy" delivery with Zoe, I am sure that baby number 2 will be COMPLETELY different. I love Hollis's name by the way. We have some close friends with the last name Hollis or I would have totally used that name myself. I, also, received an epidural even though I wanted to deliver naturally. The on-call doctor told me I was pushing wrong and needed the epidural to relax me; if it didn't work, I'd get a c-section. Caleb was born face-up after 5 1/2 hours of pushing--delivered by my doctor with forceps. I wasn't pushing wrong; my baby was facing the wrong way!
Happy Birthday to Hollis!Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02248429249559032560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8392034857491788011.post-21330785914334129322009-10-08T19:41:06.900-05:002009-10-08T19:41:06.900-05:00okay this is just bizarre b/c three years ago toni...okay this is just bizarre b/c three years ago tonight, my waters broke and by 8am i was in the hospital getting ready to have grayson who was born at 4:43 oct. 9. crazy coincidence. happy birthday to your beautiful hollis!!OSMAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09516772645440098038noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8392034857491788011.post-8742801362016534542009-10-08T16:45:28.587-05:002009-10-08T16:45:28.587-05:00Well, now I'm crying.
